This is the road that links Sabden (Pendle District) to Clitheroe (Ribble Valley). After a steep climb you eventually arrive at the Nick O' Pendle where there is ample parking. This elevated position is a popular attraction to kite flyers and hang-gliders. It is also a good place to stop and examine three quarries in the Pendle Grit.
